Energy production in Solar PV system starts with PV modules - typically they would be mounted either on the roof or on the ground. Solar PV modules convert solar energy into electrical energy - DC (direct current).
The brains of the system. Inverter converts DC current to AC (alternating current) that can be used by appliances at the property or exported to the grid.
For complete system to operate and provide monitoring there are many more components necessary - from PV module fixings to cabling and switch gear.
Installation of a system is not completed until it is tested and commissioned - only then it is safe to operate and will provide locally generated energy for years to come.
